Same as the Woolly Bugger but with an enticingly colored tungsten beadhead for added weight and attraction. Swing it, strip it - WORKS. The hot head bead can act as an egg-sucking leech imitation if there are fish spawning somewhere in the watershed. In low water conditions of summer and early fall fish can be somewhat skittish. That’s where this fly excels, as it can be fished in any water flow and clarity! Size: 12

RIO’s Pip Squeak Mouse is designed to look and perform like a real swimming mouse. The flesh colored legs kick under tension and simulate the frantic mouse moving through the water. The flesh colored ears give the angler a better visual as the fly tracks through the run. The bunny collar provides the right amount of “wet mouse” look without adding additional water weight. It also replicates the white chin that are on most mice. The ample foam keeps this mouse up on top churning out a realistic wake. The wire stinger material means you can also fish this for your favorite toothy fish, like Pike, and since this is tied with a #4 stinger hook, you’ll hook more of those short striking fish. Whether you’re chasing trophy Rainbows in Kamchatka or Alaska...or running night ops for big browns in your favorite local stream, RIO’s Pip Squeak Mouse will improve your chances of making the connection. 3” long.

The Carey is by far one of the most popular lake fishing patterns in British Columbia. It is an exceptional trolling fly, and a great searching pattern. Swing this fly, Still water/lake fish this fly. It works. An attractor variation of the Carey Special. Size 6 hook Tied with Marabou Tail, and Pheasant Collar. The Carey Special traces its roots back to 1920 when Colonel Tom Carey and Dr. Lloyd Day collaborated on a pattern originally called the Monkey Faced Louise or Dredge. Their design featured a dense pheasant rump hackle and a dubbed fur body from a dead marmot Dr. Day had found on his drive to rendezvous with Colonel Carey for a fishing trip. Since this initial prototype, the Carey Special has undergone many mutations. Still, the fly’s core remains the same: a pheasant rump tail and hackle, coupled with a body using a variety of materials.

This is my version of the Teeny Nymph. I have a gold tinsel tag on mine. Growing up as a young fly fisher I used this fly in Central Oregon, and caught so many trout with it - it became my go to fly. I swung this fly. I also used it in still water and it did good, but for me swinging this fly I did the best, and I caught lots of big browns with it. Fly is tied with Ringneck Pheasant Tail Feathers. I found the double bearded/legged version to be the best. I myself have caught Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, and Smallmouth Bass on the Teeny Nymph. Fly is unweighted
Tied on a Ahrex NS110 Nordic Salt Streamer Hook . I super glue the bare hook so when I wrap the Pheasant it adheres to the hook. Not too much glue but enough to help give this fly some longevity. Two sizes, 8, and 6

The Woolly Bugger is the most recognizable, and likely the most commonly fished streamer fly ever tied. Using nymphs for steelhead and sea run-brown trout in Tierra del Fuego can be a very effective technique. In the rivers of the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, nymphing is quickly becoming the go-to method for many anglers fishing for steelhead. The hooks used for our nymphs are stout enough to hold the heaviest steelhead or the sea run browns of Tierra del Fuego. Nymph it, or Swing it = works!
