This fly features a yellow butt. the black body and mottled wing plus Kingfisher blue hackle give this a stark contrast to the brighter butt. This can be fished as your primary searching pattern, or as your follow-up pattern if you miss a fish and want to come back with something smaller and darker. Size # 4

Like the Neo Classic Methow, but tied with White Bucktail Wing, instead of Black Ostrich. This fly is now tied in a classic tie up, and has been a super effective Steelhead fly. It first started as the Improved Methow Moal, and then evolved into Skagit Methow Leech (which has the record for catching 20 lb Steelhead). For lower water and summer conditions this same color pattern can be found in this fly and Skagit Leech Lite. See other Neo Classic patterns (Click Here) Tied on a:

A custom design by Grabflies. Design idea came from combining the famous Skagit Minnow with the new Intruder style trailing hook. Like the Neo Skagit Leech, but tied with Rabbit as well with Marabou. This fly has rabbit tied over 3.25 inches of leader wire wrapped to form a higher prop hackle ball, then comes holographic Red Flashabou, then Marabou with four Red Grizzly feathers, Black Rabbit collar, Flashabou and barred voodoo fivers. Lots of movement in the fly Size 2 Owner hook Length: 2.25 – 2.5 inches Fly is tied and glued in every step of it's construction - tied to last. Also see Neo Skagit Leech, Klickitat (click here)

Stu Foxall's latest creation is a tube fly utilizing the Pro Sportfisher Ultra Sonic Cones. These cones are made of brass and are slotted. The Ultra Sonic Cone adds some weight to the fly, but is still very easy to lift out of the water due to the venting holes, while maintaining the capability to create a vortex behind the disc, allowing soft materials to swim freely instead of collapsing in hard current. Very nice tie up. Make sure you take a long some of these on your next Steelhead fishing trip. Comes with hook.

Fall Muddler custom tie by Grabflies. A very good summer/fall Steelhead Muddler Minnow pattern. Design for rivers like the Klickitat and Deschutes... This muddler is tied on a shank with a trailing #2 Owner hook. Trailing hooks are much better for tail nipping takes and help barbless hook stay hooked much better, plus do much less damage to wild fish for releasing. Tied with a rabbit wing. Fly is 1.5 to 2 inches longer. Fishes very high in the water column on a dryline. This muddler has lots of action. Works great summer into fall for Steelhead.

I've been tying different versions of this Muddler Moal Leech fly over the years. Now I'm happy with this new pattern. It has a hidden nickel bead to help sink it enough so it swims with movement, but can be swung over snaggy terrain. Fly is 2 - 2.25 inches long (small for a moal leech - summer size). Tied on braid line with #2 SSW Owner hook. Tied with PVC hook holder with Flashabou for tail, Crosscut Rabbit Fur, Micro Barred Voodoo Fibers, Black Deer Belly Hair, Shank, and braid line. Photo: (Olive is more Olive color than shown in photo) This silhouette with the large spun deer belly hair head gives it a sculpin minnow look.

Muddler, Size 4
The Muddler Minnow is one of the most popular fly patterns in the world.
When swinging the Muddler the fly moves in and out of the surface film, enticing Steelhead to the strike.
Muddlers are also fished subsurface with sinking tip lines. Muddlers because of their deer hair trap lots of shimmering bubbles of air that fish love. Tied by Aqua Flies.

AKA: Two Toned Flash Moal Leech, Blue/Chartreuse Moal leeches are tied entirely on a string with a trailer hook at the back. This gives the fly greater action than a fly tied on a rigid hook. More fish are landed with the Moal fly as well. The combination of rabbit fur which has incredible life in the water and flashabou creates an illuminated attraction for fish. A real winner! Two Toned Flash Moal Leech - Flashabou and rabbit wrapped around a string go together. Moal Leeches have great movement in the water. They wiggle and undulate, which moves the flashabou in wave like motion reflecting colorful light waves as the fly swings across the river. Two Toned (color) Flash Moals have two different colors of flashabou tied in. The tail color is tied in after half the fly is wrapped with rabbit. The head flashabou is tied with a length of 2/3's the fly length. This works much better that two colors of flashabou tied in together at the cone.

The Grease Liner: Favoured classic wake fly for steelhead designed by Mr. Harry Lemire in 1962. A "must-have" in the fly box if you aim for steelhead in B.C. Canada. The original version of the Grease liner tied on single hooks… could be difficult to keep skating… this is not a problem with the tube version from Fishmadman… – The body of the Tube Grease liner is made of the incomparable Simi Seal dubbing from Mr. John Rohmer in Arizona (Colour; Canadian Brown)
This a 45 millimeter fly (from front to end of tail) The body is 27 millimeters long – So equivalent of a # 4 fly. Comes with hook.

Two ways to rig this fly: 1. Riffling hitch system - see image above 2. Tie on like regular tube fly - leader down tube, and tie on hook. Push hook up into tube.

HoBo Spey - custom tied by Grabflies using quality (best) materials: A great time tested and proven Steelhead pattern. Black and blue is money for Steelhead. This stops the Marabou from collapsing flat, but instead gives the fly shape and movement. Also see Fish Taco (click here)

Steel Plow, Black/Chartreuse Hooking a steelhead on a skated fly is one of the most rewarding experiences in fly fishing. As we sought out to develop a “top-shelf” steelhead skater we turned to an unlikely source for inspiration - blacksmith John Deere’s original walking steel plow. Our #4 short-shanked hook acts as a rudder and helps keep the fly in the surface tension even during violent grabs, while the plow handles act as outriggers, giving the fly balance and the simulation of wings. The flash and hackles catch water and light to give indication of movement and life and an orange sighter helps you track this fly across the early morning slicks. Size 4

The Evo Bunny Supreme 2 is weighted enough to get the rabbit down - swims great. The fly is tied with weighted wire (.025 - .030). This is used to create an enlarged body that helps keep the rabbit wing swimming higher and off the hook to help prevent fouling - see photo. I've been working a long time playing with methods to do this. Here it is! Size: 2 - 2.5 inches Materials: - 60 lb braid line (Supreme 2 uses braid line and tubing with flash tinsel glued over, this keep to hook align but still flexible. Hook can be turned in tubing.)

This summer and/or all season clear water Flash Tail Moal Supreme Leech is a new additional to Grabflies Moal Leech collection. The Flashabou Tail is tied onto a poly tube hook holder that holds hook in place. Then cross cut rabbit with a different color Flashabou and natural Micro Barred Voodoo Fibers for legs.
Moal leeches are tied entirely on a string with a trailer hook at the back. This gives the fly greater action than a fly tied on a rigid hook. More fish are landed with the Moal fly as well. Custom Moal Leeches are tied by Grabflies.com in the good old USA. Moal's are tied using the best materials on the market and are tied to last (super glue, Braid Line 20 LB (double over for 40 LB strength) and, quality Owner size 2 hook. Size: 2 - 2.25 inches (moal body is 2 inches, tail is about .5 inches.

This Taco fly has the addition of the trailing egg, Micro Barred Voodoo Fibers , and tied on a 25 mm Fs Senyo's Articulated Shank .
Jeff Hickman designed the Fish Taco Spey fly specifically for Steelhead and Salmon. When Jeff Hickman gets hungry he thinks of one of his favorite things to eat - fish tacos. The Fish Taco was designed to be un-weighted and easy to cast with lots of movement. Like Fish Tacos - a favorite dish for hungry fly fishermen, and every cook has their own recipe. Grabflies has its recipe and custom ties these Fish Tacos by hand in Washougal, Washington. Grabflies likes to tie Fish Tacos that are spicy and hot, and full and juicy. These Fish Tacos are delicious offerings for Steelhead and Salmon. Size: 2.25 - 2.5 inches, Size 2 SSW Owner Hook

Three color patterns - select below (Black/Olive - Olive is more Olive color than photo) Good summer and fall Steelhead pattern (Steelhead love rabbit fur and muddlers). The silhouette with the large spun deer belly hair head gives it a sculpin minnow look.

A custom design by Grabflies. Design idea came from combining the famous Skagit Minnow with the new Intruder style trailing hook. Like the Neo Skagit CW, but tied with Rabbit as well with Marabou. This fly has rabbit tied over 3.25 inches of leader wire wrapped to form a higher prop hackle ball, then comes holographic Chartreuse Flashabou, then Marabou with four Chartreuse Grizzly feathers, Black Rabbit collar, Flashabou and barred voodoo fivers. Lots of movement in the fly Hook Sizes: 2 Owner hook, 1 Owner hook Length: 2.5 inches Fly is tied and glued in every step of it's construction - tied to last. These new wide-profile cones create a turbo vortex at the front of a tube fly. The turbo cone gives the fly a unique swimming action. The action combined with the soft materials, which pulsate to mimic breathing, produces a fly that drives fish crazy. Whether fishing in the slowest or hardest of currents, the fly will move and pulsate like no other pattern. In addition to the unique movements, the turbo cone also provides a little bit of weight to help get the fly down. Our Turbo Cone Tube Flies are tied on a 1.25-inch tube with a 10mm turbo cone. Comes with Size 2 trailing hook.
