Skagit Compact by Airflo Sale: I have one of each of the below in stock. Try casting 15' of lead core on the end of your regular Spey line and you'll quickly find its not up to the job - enter the Skagit Compact. Skagit lines were originally developed by the Steelhead rats of the Pacific North West to get flies in front of fish regardless of environment. These short high power heads have the ability to make a cast in tight confined spaces, which often means the difference between success and failure. Perfected under the watchful eye of Tom Larimer, you can understand how excited we are about the Skagit Compact. Tom guides the mighty rivers of Oregon and Washington, so required a series of lines that allowed his clients to quickly get the hang of fishing heavy level sink tips and big articulated flies. As with any line the shorter the head the more critical the weight. By refining the taper and length of the Skagit Compacts from 23 to 27 feet depending on head weight. We've created 15 models from 360 to 810 grains in 30 grain increments that ensure you'll be able to find the perfect match for your favourite rod. So, just add a running line, a sink tip and your good to go.

Cocoons are the only sunglasses in the world that will completely isolate your eyes from the elements. The collection features patented designs that deliver 360 of Advanced UV Protection and are available in a range of styles and sizes that can be worn over prescription eyewear or as conventional sunglasses. After wearing Cocoons for a short period of time, your eyes will begin to relax. The polarized UV400 front and side lenses treat incoming light, eliminating distracting glare and allowing you to focus on the task at hand. The patented frames protect your eyes from all angles, blocking sunlight, UV, glare, wind, rain and airborne debris. Sizing Guide: Measure the maximum width and height of your prescription frame to find the pair of Cocoons that fits best. Advanced UV Protection Cocoons deliver Advanced UV Protection (AVP). AVP guarantees the performance of not only the lenses, but the entire frame design. Sunglasses featuring AVP design parameters will completely isolate the eyes, protecting from the harmful effects of the sun and the elements. Advanced UV Protection ensures that your eyes are safely protected within a cocoon of filtered light, allowing them to remain relaxed and focused on the task at hand. Polarizationn Polarization is similar to a chemical Venetian blind, rearranging light and allowing you to see "through" harsh glare and reflection. 100%% polarized lenses are the only truly effective way of eliminating glare. Water, fog, rain, snow and early morning dew, have reflective properties, which enhance reflected glare. All Cocoon sunglasses feature polarized lenses. When wearing polarized lenses, eyestrain is reduced, allowing your eyes to remain relaxed and focused on the task at hand. The elimination of glare provides a tranquil "cocoon" for your eyes, improving visual acuity and enhancing depth perception. Cocoons polarized lenses are also scratch resistant and deliver complete UV A&B protection. Cocoon lenses are optically correct.

Arx by Waterworks Lamson is a reel built with purpose; Spey or switch casting a variety of lines with maximum line control and reliability. The continuing evolution of Spey and Scandi lines, shooting heads, flat mono, etc. demand a reel that can help prevent line snags while retaining the high performance you’ve come to expect from Waterworks Lamson. Arx has a full cage frame that encapsulates the spool to prevent line from escaping or snagging in critical areas. Normally a configuration like this would do a good job at preventing line fouling, but would preclude palming the reel. Arx is carefully milled on the bottom third of the reel to expose a functional palming section. Even the drag knob has been designed to provide optimal grip without exposing a portion of the reel to line fouling. Format: Large Arbor Materials: Machined Aluminum, Stainless Steel Finish: Hard Alox Drag: Sealed Conical Drag System US Made, Idaho Built

The REMIX 4 HD Reel 3-PACK (Reel and 2 Spools) reel by Waterworks Lamson (reel $249.95 + (2 extra spools at 60.95=$121.9) Total: $371.85 (now on sale for $219.95, Save $151.9) is the "Heavy Duty" version of the Remix. This reel has a full-cage design to capture line without failure. This is a great option for an entry-level Switch, Spey, boat or all around heavier duty reel. A fusion between the free-form structures of a cast spool and the mechanical integrity of a CNC-machined case, Remix is a hybrid. The case, CNC-machined here in the U.S. from 6061 bar-stock aluminum, delivers maximum structural rigidity and durability all wrapped in a harder, brighter finish. The spool, compatible with the Liquid's, is pressure cast with radiused compound curves, near zero-radius inside corners and a precise fit and finish. It has a U-shape arbor and narrow format to aid in line control. Remix brings together the best of CNC machining and pressure-cast technologies to deliver an unprecedented level of quality for a bit more than $150. In addition to the US-made case, all critical drag components are CNC-machined here in the U.S. And like Liquid, Remix reels are assembled in Boise by our skilled and experienced team. This is the 2nd version of the famous Airflo Skagit Compact shooting heads that emerged about 10-years ago and took their place as one of the most popular Skagit type heads ever produced. The original Skagit Compact is still very popular with many of the worlds most knowledgeable steelhead/salmon anglers and guides. The new G2 (generation two) is a little shorter overall than its predecessor. It has a slightly longer rear taper so that an angler can leave a little more shooting line beyond the rod tip while casting. And because of the of this lengthened rear taper the head is a little more stable in flight. The front taper has also been lengthened slightly to increase flight time and to blend more seamlessly with Airflo's wildly popular Flo Tips. This head is two colored. The rear blue part of the line has more flotation built into it so that it is more controllable while on the water. Many angler who are familiar with the older version of the Skagit Compact will find it hard to believe that it can be improved upon. These new heads are just beginning to arrive. That is why we only have a small range of sizes. So far our tests have disclosed that the new line performs very well

The RIO Scandi head is a very easy casting Scandi style shooting head, built on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for the utmost in casting control and sensitivity. It is available in a multitude of lengths and weights to cover all rod and angling situations. For tight casting spots and the utmost in ease of casting use a head length that is between 2.5 and 3 times the length of the rod, thus a 12 ft rod would work best with a head that is between 30 and 36 ft in length. The shorter the head length, the tighter the back casting space an angler can fish in. With more room and better casting skills a longer head provides the angler with less line to strip in between each cast and more fishing time.

RIO's iShort is the latest addition in the arsenal of heads for the Skagit fly fisher. The short, powerful head has an 8ft long highly visible floating back end that is easy to track during the swing, and can be mended for total fly control. The unique clear camo intermediate front section is a fantastic asset for when extra depth is needed, in strong current and also on windy days, or when a slower swing is needed. iShort: Overall/Head Length: Approximately 18 ft at 350 gr to 20 ft at 575 gr. The iFlight is the best choice for long distance casting on big rivers where your fly has to be fished at extra depth. Powerful front end casts fast sinking tips and large flies Slow sinking intermediate tip for deeper and slower presentations ID printed rear loop for fast head recognitionMost Unique feature: The iFlight Skagit Spey shooting head is clearly distinguished from other Spey heads by the front end of the head (approximately 14 ft) that has an Intermediate sink rate of about 1.5 inches per second. the back 8 ft of this head is a black floating line that enhances mending of the front portion of the Intermediate head.

The Intermediate front of the head gets just under the surface and eliminates wind drift. The Intermediate front of the head is also particularly useful if surface river turbulence interferes with the fly's swing.
Compatible tips: These iFlight heads are meant ONLY for use with sink tips of various rates, not for floating tips.
