OPST’s Commando Heads are extraordinarily fishable. These Skagit Heads are the result of decades of focus on sustained anchor systemology (SAS) by Ed Ward and Jerry French. They are designed to expand the capabilities of shorter spey rods, switch rods and single hand rods beyond that of normal. You may be surprised at their short length, but this was no accident. The ultra-short design provides an effortless casting feel and enhances performance in circumstances of restricted casting room, troublesome winds and in casting bulky flies. It also makes them more fishable than longer lines that are hard to control on the water. Wanna roll cast? Underhand? Nymph? Single hand Skagit with a haul? Overhead? Go right ahead.
Designed to keep you dry on fishing trips and highly effective on the trail, as well, Redington's Stratus III jacket is made of waterproof breathable VersiDry fabric with fully seam-sealed construction and ventilating mesh lining.

Try casting 15' of lead core on the end of your regular Spey line and you'll quickly find its not up to the job - enter the Skagit Compact. Skagit lines were originally developed by the Steelhead rats of the Pacific North West to get flies in front of fish regardless of environment. These short high power heads have the ability to make a cast in tight confined spaces, which often means the difference between success and failure. Perfected under the watchful eye of Tom Larimer, you can understand how excited we are about the Skagit Compact.
Tom guides the mighty rivers of Oregon and Washington, so required a series of lines that allowed his clients to quickly get the hang of fishing heavy level sink tips and big articulated flies. As with any line the shorter the head the more critical the weight. By refining the taper and length of the Skagit Compacts from 23 to 27 feet depending on head weight. We've created 15 models from 360 to 810 grains in 30 grain increments that ensure you'll be able to find the perfect match for your favourite rod. So, just add a running line, a sink tip and your good to go.

Cocoons are the only sunglasses in the world that will completely isolate your eyes from the elements. The collection features patented designs that deliver 360 of Advanced UV Protection and are available in a range of styles and sizes that can be worn over prescription eyewear or as conventional sunglasses. After wearing Cocoons for a short period of time, your eyes will begin to relax. The polarized UV400 front and side lenses treat incoming light, eliminating distracting glare and allowing you to focus on the task at hand. The patented frames protect your eyes from all angles, blocking sunlight, UV, glare, wind, rain and airborne debris. Sizing Guide: Measure the maximum width and height of your prescription frame to find the pair of Cocoons that fits best. Advanced UV Protection Cocoons deliver Advanced UV Protection (AVP). AVP guarantees the performance of not only the lenses, but the entire frame design. Sunglasses featuring AVP design parameters will completely isolate the eyes, protecting from the harmful effects of the sun and the elements. Advanced UV Protection ensures that your eyes are safely protected within a cocoon of filtered light, allowing them to remain relaxed and focused on the task at hand. Polarizationn Polarization is similar to a chemical Venetian blind, rearranging light and allowing you to see "through" harsh glare and reflection. 100%% polarized lenses are the only truly effective way of eliminating glare. Water, fog, rain, snow and early morning dew, have reflective properties, which enhance reflected glare. All Cocoon sunglasses feature polarized lenses. When wearing polarized lenses, eyestrain is reduced, allowing your eyes to remain relaxed and focused on the task at hand. The elimination of glare provides a tranquil "cocoon" for your eyes, improving visual acuity and enhancing depth perception. Cocoons polarized lenses are also scratch resistant and deliver complete UV A&B protection. Cocoon lenses are optically correct.
The Airflo Skagit Intermediate is a new concept in Skagit casting that will change the game of swinging flies for anadromous fish. By building a line with a short floating rear section coupled with an intermediate body, we took the ease of casting a Skagit head and combined it with the effectiveness of an intermediate Scandi. Although we designed it originally for steelhead anglers in the Great Lakes, it's quickly becoming a viable tool for West Coast steelhead and salmon, and Atlantic salmon fishing worldwide.
I use this line in the winter when the water is high and the surface water is fast - this line slows the swing down as it allows the link to get below the river's surface turbulence. It also allows your tip to get down deeper. - Jeff Layton
The Amphibian will serve you well for a multitude of uses.
The stretchable Amphibian is dual purpose--it can be a water-repellant outer jacket or worn under another jacket. The outer micro-fleece fabric is breathable, waterproof, and stretchable, with warm micro-fleece inside.
I like this jacket for a summer wading jacket, or to be worn under my winter jacket in the winter - Jeff Layton
Chest accessory pocket
Water-repellant zippers at front and on chest pocket
Hand warmer fleece pockets
Adjustable cuffs and waist - for reaching down into the river
Arx by Waterworks Lamson is a reel built with purpose; Spey or switch casting a variety of lines with maximum line control and reliability. The continuing evolution of Spey and Scandi lines, shooting heads, flat mono, etc. demand a reel that can help prevent line snags while retaining the high performance you’ve come to expect from Waterworks Lamson. Arx has a full cage frame that encapsulates the spool to prevent line from escaping or snagging in critical areas. Normally a configuration like this would do a good job at preventing line fouling, but would preclude palming the reel. Arx is carefully milled on the bottom third of the reel to expose a functional palming section. Even the drag knob has been designed to provide optimal grip without exposing a portion of the reel to line fouling.
The REMIX 4 HD Reel 3-PACK (Reel and 2 Spools) reel by Waterworks Lamson (reel $249.95 + (2 extra spools at 60.95=$121.9) Total: $371.85 (now on sale for $219.95, Save $151.9) is the "Heavy Duty" version of the Remix. This reel has a full-cage design to capture line without failure. This is a great option for an entry-level Switch, Spey, boat or all around heavier duty reel.
A fusion between the free-form structures of a cast spool and the mechanical integrity of a CNC-machined case, Remix is a hybrid. The case, CNC-machined here in the U.S. from 6061 bar-stock aluminum, delivers maximum structural rigidity and durability all wrapped in a harder, brighter finish. The spool, compatible with the Liquid's, is pressure cast with radiused compound curves, near zero-radius inside corners and a precise fit and finish. It has a U-shape arbor and narrow format to aid in line control. Remix brings together the best of CNC machining and pressure-cast technologies to deliver an unprecedented level of quality for a bit more than $150. In addition to the US-made case, all critical drag components are CNC-machined here in the U.S. And like Liquid, Remix reels are assembled in Boise by our skilled and experienced team. The result of this Remix? High performance, reliability, quality assurance and sex appeal.

This is the 2nd version of the famous Airflo Skagit Compact shooting heads that emerged about 10-years ago and took their place as one of the most popular Skagit type heads ever produced. The original Skagit Compact is still very popular with many of the worlds most knowledgeable steelhead/salmon anglers and guides.
The new G2 (generation two) is a little shorter overall than its predecessor. It has a slightly longer rear taper so that an angler can leave a little more shooting line beyond the rod tip while casting. And because of the of this lengthened rear taper the head is a little more stable in flight. The front taper has also been lengthened slightly to increase flight time and to blend more seamlessly with Airflo's wildly popular Flo Tips. This head is two colored. The rear blue part of the line has more flotation built into it so that it is more controllable while on the water.
Many angler who are familiar with the older version of the Skagit Compact will find it hard to believe that it can be improved upon. These new heads are just beginning to arrive. That is why we only have a small range of sizes. So far our tests have disclosed that the new line performs very well

The RIO Scandi head is a very easy casting Scandi style shooting head, built on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for the utmost in casting control and sensitivity. It is available in a multitude of lengths and weights to cover all rod and angling situations. For tight casting spots and the utmost in ease of casting use a head length that is between 2.5 and 3 times the length of the rod, thus a 12 ft rod would work best with a head that is between 30 and 36 ft in length. The shorter the head length, the tighter the back casting space an angler can fish in. With more room and better casting skills a longer head provides the angler with less line to strip in between each cast and more fishing time.
