Stu Foxall's latest creation is a tube fly utilizing the Pro Sportfisher Ultra Sonic Cones. These cones are made of brass and are slotted. The Ultra Sonic Cone adds some weight to the fly, but is still very easy to lift out of the water due to the venting holes, while maintaining the capability to create a vortex behind the disc, allowing soft materials to swim freely instead of collapsing in hard current. Very nice tie up. Make sure you take a long some of these on your next Steelhead fishing trip. Comes with hook.

The Classic Lady Caroline Fly is arguably one of the most recognizable Spey patterns; however unlike traditional Speys, the Lady C is tied with a tail. Tied by (most likely) Geordie Shanks, who was head ghillie at the Gordon Castle (as mentioned in A. E. Knox's Autumns on the Spey). With the Reverse Marabou Tube, Tom Larimer solves this problem by tying it backwards on the tube so the marabou fibers point forward, giving a bigger profile with a smaller amount of material. The smaller amount of material helps it sink fast, and that sink rate is really important as we mentioned above. - Super simple, yet deadly effective
- The marabou is tied in facing forward to give it extra bulk without the weight
- Both winter and summer steelhead love to eat marabou
- Tube fly with included hook

Tied like a Fish Taco Fly but using Rhea instead of Ostrich Plume. This gives the fly a little less silhouette, but with the same action, plus Rhea really stands out and moves in the water. These are the two primary colors I use in the summer and fall. Black/Purple/Red and Black/Chartreuse and Blue - Methow color Scheme (where I first discovered this color combination). Unweighted and easy to cast, and has more movement because of the Rhea. Size: 2.5 - 3 inches Tied on a FS SENYOS ARTICULATED SHANK 25MM BLACK Tied with an Owner size two SW hook. A very good summer/fall Steelhead Muddler Minnow pattern.
When swinging the Muddler the fly moves in and out of the surface film, enticing Steelhead to the strike.
Muddlers are also fished subsurface with sinking tip lines. Muddlers because of their deer hair trap lots of shimmering bubbles of air that fish love.
