A custom design by Grabflies. Design idea came from combining the famous Skagit Minnow with the new Intruder style trailing hook. This fly has lots of action in the water with a large profile. This Neo Skagit Leech is a smaller version of the original Skagit Leech. It is tied with a hidden .25" nickle bead. The hidden bead helps prop up the Marabou which has stiff Guinea and Prop Hackle in front of it. The fly swims different, and snags less as the bead will not snag on rocks. This color pattern is very good for: - Clear Water
- Bright Middle Day Conditions
- Flesh Fly Imitation
- Steelhead
- Bull Trout - Dolly Varden
- All Seasons
Size: 2.5 - 3 inches| Size 1 Owner hook Fly is tied and glued in every step of it's construction - tied to last.

The Quigley's Dragon Gurgler - Made to spit water The Dragon Gurgler wake fly was originally devised by Mr. Bob Quigley. This the Quigley’s Dragon Gurgler in a Fishmadman tube version – A wake fly with an attitude. Designed to spit water and to be fished with a stop and go motion. The tube will take a variety of different hooks and hook settings.
Fish your Dragon Gurgler with the hook up-side-down
Some steelhead anglers prefer to fish the hook upside-down on their Quigley’s Dragon Gurgler – and to do so in an easy and smart way you may use a so-called egg hook or up-eye hook – as seen fitted on the fly in the image. The up-eye hook will enable you to get a different angle on the hook and the low-memory medium soft tubing the Gurglers is tied on, is well suited to accommodate such a fly fishing method.
This a 50 – 45-millimeter version… or medium – Equivalent to a fly tied on a # 2 – 4hook. Comes with hook.

Two ways to rig this fly: 1. Riffling hitch system - see image above 2. Tie on like regular tube fly - leader down tube, and tie on hook. Push hook up into tube.

Stu Foxall's latest creation is a tube fly utilizing the Pro Sportfisher Ultra Sonic Cones. These cones are made of brass and are slotted. The Ultra Sonic Cone adds some weight to the fly, but is still very easy to lift out of the water due to the venting holes, while maintaining the capability to create a vortex behind the disc, allowing soft materials to swim freely instead of collapsing in hard current. Very nice tie up. Make sure you take a long some of these on your next Steelhead fishing trip. Comes with hook.

These new wide-profile cones create a turbo vortex at the front of a tube fly. The turbo cone gives the fly a unique swimming action. The action combined with the soft materials, which pulsate to mimic breathing, produces a fly that drives fish crazy. Whether fishing in the slowest or hardest of currents, the fly will move and pulsate like no other pattern. In addition to the unique movements, the turbo cone also provides a little bit of weight to help get the fly down. Our Turbo Cone Tube Flies are tied on a 1.25-inch tube with a 10mm turbo cone. The Chromewrecker was originally developed by Lucas Meeker as a large-profile, un-weighted pattern for targeting big water Steelhead in the lower flows of late summer and fall. Fishing big flies un-weighted with a heavier sink tip allows the fly to keep the large profile of a big weighted winter fly, but stay up in the column to snag less in broader and more consistent gradient runs. Many big steelhead flies sink slowly, especially un-weighted, but the Chromewrecker is tied with sparse materials that don't slow the sinkrate. As the pattern evolved over three years, Luke added weighted variants and colorways targeting winter Steelhead and Chinook. Another central idea in this pattern is to use multiple shades of colors and contrasting points to build blended colors and markings that more closely resemble how colors blend and fade in nature (even when the color is bright!)... like the blended markings on the flank of a bright chrome Steelhead.

The Coachman was a well known wet fly for trout. The Steelhead Coachman is a take off of that classic. It features the same peacock body, but uses a white wing and mottled brown hackling. Good Trouty Steelhead Fly Size: 4

Using long flowing materials is one of the key Intruder features. The rhea is a small South American ostrich-like bird with long flowing feathers, and it's the perfect match for the Intruder. The use of rhea was popularized by Paul Miller a number of years ago. Stu's Ostrich Intruders are tied on 40mm shanks with 5/32-inch brass eyes. Stock flies come with a Gamakatsu Octopus hook. Great Steelhead Fly

Tied like a Fish Taco Fly but using Rhea instead of Ostrich Plume. This gives the fly a little less silhouette, but with the same action, plus Rhea really stands out and moves in the water. These are the two primary colors I use in the summer and fall. Black/Purple/Red and Black/Chartreuse and Blue - Methow color Scheme (where I first discovered this color combination). Unweighted and easy to cast, and has more movement because of the Rhea. Size: 2.5 inches Tied on a FS SENYOS ARTICULATED SHANK 25MM BLACK Tied with an Owner size two SW hook. Comes with Size 2 trailing hook.

The Hartwick's Flashtail Tube series is tied in a style to provide a lot of flash and a moderate size profile. A brass cone is used to hold the marabou in a position so the profile will not collapse. Great Tie, and this is a Steelhead catcher!

Senyo's OCD is a great fly in low water conditions because it's unweighted and 3 1/2 inches long. Tied using Senyo's articulated shank, ostrich, and Angel Hair, for a fly that swims well in the water. Shank length: 25mm. Size 2 Intruder hook. Very nice tie up by Aqua Flies. Similar to a Fish Taco - good/great fly for Steelhead.

A custom design by Grabflies. Design idea came from combining the famous Skagit Minnow with the new Intruder style trailing hook. This fly has lots of action in the water with a large profile. POP = Purple, Orange, Pink This Neo Skagit Leech is a smaller version of the original Skagit Leech. It is tied with a hidden .25" nickle bead. The hidden bead helps prop up the Marabou which has stiff Guinea and Prop Hackle in front of it. The fly swims different, and snags less as the bead will not snag on rocks. This color version has pink Rhea adding to the color scheme and mowing fibers. Size: 3 inches | Size 2 Owner hook | #1 OPST hook Fly is tied and glued in every step of it's construction - tied to last. Also see other Neo Skagit Leeches (click here)

Heavy cone and bright flash, this baby works for steelhead and salmon. Here's a new one for us that promises to be a silver, pink and chum salmon killer... not to mention a good, bright steelhead pattern. The conehead on the Chrome Magnet get it deep fast and then the generous proportions of Flashabou kick in and throw lots of flash and movement. This is a no brainer for your trip to Alaska for salmon.

Tied Spey style with long flowing Black Marabou Hackle. The Green Butt Skunk is the most popular summer steelhead fly in the Northwest.
Traditional wet-fly swing. If the water temperature is below 52 degrees, consider using a sink-tip line with a 4-6 foot leader.
There well have been more summer Steelhead caught on a Skunk, or Green Butted Skunk fly pattern that any other single pattern around. A must in every Steelhead Fly Fishermen's Fly box.

Two Toned Flash Moal Leech - Flashabou and rabbit wrapped around a string go together. Moal Leeches have great movement in the water. They wiggle and undulate, which moves the flashabou in wave like motion reflecting colorful light waves as the fly swings across the river. Two Toned (color) Flash Moals have two different colors of flashabou tied in. The tail color is tied in after half the fly is wrapped with rabbit. The head flashabou is tied with a length of 2/3's the fly length. This works much better that two colors of flashabou tied in together at the cone.

A little "Intruder" style fly, easy to cast, a nice little mid strata searching pattern. This is a caster's dream. It is sparse, light, and casts like a rocket. It has a TINY set of eyes on it that gives it just enough weight to get down a bit when desired but isn't a chore to cast.
